This was a roller coaster of a book- started a little slow and worked it self up until you were almost left with whiplash at the end. Spanning 8 hours and completely changing the course of every characters life. The amount of twists and revelations in this story keep you shocked for the second half of the book and on the edge of you seat. Maybe it was the audiobook but it read like a movie- super visual and with almost an open ending.

This book is amazing! I started it because I have read all of AGGGTM. The author did not disappoint. The book starts out kind of slow, laying out all the background information. However it picks up with different plot twists all the way to the end. The last few pages were very creative in the way they present more of the story. I definitely would have never made the connections the way the author did at the end. I was so engrossed while reading this book that I cried like twice! This book is a 10/10 highly recommend it. I will probably reread this book in the next few years.

I didn't massively enjoy reading this. All the characters were annoying, especially the narrator voice - it felt very self-indulgent complaining. I just kept reading to find out what happened. I guessed all the plot twists but I don't know if that's because it was predictable or I'm just good at know what happens.
and unless I missed it, you never find out the characters she sees in the curtains? and that's really annoying

I wanted to read his book because I loved the A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder’s series. So when Holly announced this book, I was dying to read it and Holly has a way of keeping you on the edge of your seat.

This book is based on eighteen-year-old Red. She and her friends are on a road trip in an RV, heading to the beach to celebrate Spring Break. It's a long drive but the spirits are high . . . Until the RV breaks down in the middle of nowhere, when they go to investigate the wheels have been shot out, one by one and the group realise that this was no accident. There is a sniper out there. He is watching them, and he knows exactly who they are. Someone in the group has a secret that the sniper is willing to kill for her. As the game of cat-and-mouse plays out, the group desperately tries to get help. Buried secrets are forced to light and tensions reach a deadly level. Only one thing is certain – not everyone will survive the night.

I went into this book thinking that nothing could top AGGGTM and that this wasn’t going to be good because it was a standalone and a lot smaller than some of the books in the other series, so I thought there is no way I'm going to be on the edge of my seat for this. OH BOY, I was wrong, and I was so glad I was wrong. Like most people, Red did annoy me a bit at the beginning because of the cover she was putting on the outside but once the secrets started to get revealed I was trying to slow my reading down so I didn’t miss anything but was trying to figure out who was the mole. The way that each character has a personality that really stands out. Red with the broken past and her trust issues so she is trying to have fun whilst keeping to herself, Arthur being the quiet new boy in the group and trying to protect Red and you can see the feels between them from a mile away, Simon who is just wanting to get drunk and stand up to his parents and become an actor, Maddy being the supportive best friend whilst dealing with the fact that her mum is going through a stressful trial and could be killed by a gang, Oliver is her brother and is loving the fact that her mum is potential going to be the new District Attorney and cannot wait to spend Spring Break with her girlfriend even if he has to be the grown up at times considering he is the oldest and finally Reyna who is Oliver’s girlfriend and is trying to be the cement that holds the group together. All of these secrets as well had me shook. You could literally cut the tension when you got to about 50% in this book and the betrayals started to come out.

I’ve never wanted to punch a character more than I wanted to punch Oliver. The second he went from command leader to just overall dickhead in denial. He was stressing me out more than the actual snipers. The only reason why it didn’t get five stars from me was because the build-up was very slow and then it was fast paced once the drama kicked off.

I wanted more from the ending, I wanted Oliver to be confronted about his secret, do the group protect Simon because of his secret, does Red get in trouble from her secret, Did they confront Oliver and Maddy’s mum over what was revealed? What’s going to happen to Arthur? I want all these questions answered.
