This was a sweet little book to read. The illustrations are adorable, and it has an important message for kids (to be fair, for anyone) to read, especially in today’s polarized times.

Moderate: Bullying, Racism, and Islamophobia

A very sweet and hopeful story lightly tackling important themes of acceptance and racism/xenophobia that are always relevant but especially in the current sociopolitical climate.
I liked how the author made the animals and plants come to life as characters. I also appreciated the humor peppered here and there.
On a side note, I found the story of Maeve really interesting, I'd happily read an entire novel expanding on it.
