I originally read Shakespeare's Twelfth Night in high school but as a teen it was more of a chore than anything to read anything by Shakespeare because grades followed. But going back and reading this, I actually had time to take in the story. Take in the essence that only Shakespeare can infuse. Have to say I really enjoyed this (I know I cheated and got a spark notes edition but hey, I'm only human)

I LOVED this play. Really wish I could see it performed in person! This was the first Shakespeare play that I've read and I just want to say: thank God for Sparknotes making a modern day text version as I can't understand Shakespearean language! Although the main love triangle between Viola, Orsino and Olivia wasn't really my type of story (I'm not that interested in romances tbh), I really enjoyed the whole play! My favourite characters were the wittiest legend of all, Maria and of course, the comical but (the only) clever and wise character in the play, Feste! Definitely a 5/5 from me.
