Enjoyed this volume more than the previous. Sometimes the flow of dialogue feels a bit awkward, but this may be a translation issue.

We are seeing some growth from Shion while he also refuses to give up his ethics, which to me is far more enjoyable to read than his constant naivety.

I feel like I'd rather watch this. I don't know. Reading it is kind of boring, but the story is still kind of interesting and Shion is cute.

With the establishing stuff out of the way, No 6 has some room to get more interesting. The theme this time is the naif Shion interacting with jaded West Bank people. Some of these interactions are affecting, like an extended sequence with Dog Keeper, but some are stupid and juvenile, like his run in with an aggressive sex worker. I still think a parasitic bee is a sometimes silly antagonist, but the aging disease it's a vector for is genuinely creepy. So. Things are coming together.
