Moonrise was a great read much better than the the book before (Midnight).... can’t wait to read “Dawn” now.

This book had a fairly slow start but definitely picked up the pace around page 180. It was interesting to learn about the Tribe and their differing ways but I think the final battle while the characters were with them could've been dragged out a bit more for drama purposes, not because it was bad! This book has definitely set up the mid-series finale to be a good one.
I enjoyed having the POV of two characters from another Clan to read about their differing ways of life and I found Leafpaw's arc more interesting than it was in Midnight. However, I wasn't a fan of the romances in this book.

I've actually ventured farther into the second series! I resented it before because I loved following the main protagonist in the first series and I really disliked the turn this series took at first. I now think it's an interesting change and wonder where the writers will take the story next but I'm not excited for everything to change, not to mention all the heart-wrenching turns included! This probably sounds really cryptic and confusing to anyone not familiar with what is going on and it is totally geeky to go back to these series but they are a fun break from all the serious reading I've had to do or will begin but they're actually not too bad, especially considering I've read some other past favorites of mine and found them poorly written or boring. It was refreshing to know I wasn't a completely lame young reader!
