just wow. I never knew this story would touch me as much as it did. the heartbreak I felt was real, and the touching moments made me weep. loved reading these two, can't wait to hear more in future books about the life of the West family.

**4.5 Stars**

AL Jackson’s lyrical prose will captivate every reader with this story. It had a delicious push/pull between Lyrik and Tamar that instantly sucked you in and wouldn’t let go. And that sweet, slow burn of a romance with characters who fought so dang hard to resist one another created an explosive chemistry that flew off of the pages. Jackson has a magical, poetic way with words and it gives life to every story, and you’ll find WHERE LIGHTNING STRIKES to be no different.

Lyrik and Tamar have both created a barrier to others out of necessity. They’ve suffered things in the past that have forced them to be closed off, thus creating a stubborn willpower that inhibit’s them from changing. They don’t want to want the other, and yet they do with everything in them for reasons that neither can understand. Each is scarred in their own painful way, and Jackson writes this story so beautifully that you come to know, slowly, how each of them has suffered. In doing this, she makes it feel incredibly gratifying to achieve how deep we come to know the characters, and how far our hearts reach out to them.

WHERE LIGHTNING STRIKES was an incredibly beautiful novel filled with deeply fleshed-out characters that will reach deep into your soul and demand a reaction. Their connection will fuel turning the pages, and bring you right into the story with them. You won’t want to put the story down, except, maybe, to take a deep breath. Jackson did another fantastic job in bringing these characters to life, and you’ll fall right in love with them.

I fall more and more in love with A.L. Jackson’s words. You do not want to miss this breathtakingly beautiful book! I love love love Where Lightning Strikes!!

Gah! The push and pull between Lyrik West and Tamar King is deliciously intoxicating. I didn’t want it to end. Lyrik, that gorgeous broken man, I both loved him and hated him. He made me want to hug him one second and throttle him the next. In the previous books, you see Lyrik as the serious and intense lead guitarist for the band Sunder. Once you get a closer look into his story and you see all the hurt, guilt, and pain in his life you can understand all the emotional walls he’s built. That doesn’t stop his attraction to Tamar. There is something about her that draws her to him and he wants her. It’s hard not to be drawn to her. She’s the amazing! Tamar is my favorite Bleeding Stars girl to date. She’s strong, independent, and can hold her own. But her sassy demeanor hides a painful past she’s spent years running from.

When these two get together it’s lightning, fire and magic all wrapped up in one. They’re passionate and fiery with a side of pain and emotions. They bring all the feels! Where Lightning Strikes is one of those puffy red eyes, tissues everywhere, take a moment to collect yourself books. I absolutely loved it

6 Hearts!
Al Jackson has done it again. She broke my heart with her piercing words. Then she put it back together with her poetic, rhythmic writing. I'm continually floored at what an amazing writer she is. Each new book breaks down barriers and surpasses her previous ones. The phrase "book hangover" was created just for an AL Jackson book. I'm spent. Gutted. Blotchy eyed. Running nose. My heart actually hurts. She pulls emotions out of you that you never know you had. The sadness, the pain. The hope, the joy. The love, the hate. This is Lyrik's story, and oh what a story it is. We've known him for a while. He's tall, sexy, tatted and sexy. Tamar is vibrant, kick-ass and smart. Together they are electric. They can't stand each other. They trade insults and barbs. But, when the guilt and pain that each of them carries and thinks they are hiding recognizes the other, more than just sparks fly. Their souls are tattered and shredded to pieces. Their secrets are buried deep. They are both hiding and fighting, but just like a magnet, once one of them flips, they are drawn to each other. Can't let go. Can't walk away. He promises her two months. That's all he can offer her. Not love or forever. Tamar can't refuse him. She's too caught up in his eyes, his promises. But what happens when she starts to lose herself? Can Lyrik let go of his past before he loses his future, his Blue? I cannot even express how much I loved this book. It's one of my top reads of 2016. Lyrik is the perfect mix of good and bad. Tamar is strong, sexy and brave. I'm addicted to this series and can't wait for more!

"I think you might be a little perfect underneath it all"
"Believe me, it just gets uglier the deeper you get."
"Funny, because the more I see, the more I like."

She made me want to explore the forbidden.
Dive into my own debauchery.
Swim in sin.

"You breathed the life I didn't know was missing back into me. I thought we had a time stamp. And ending. And it turned out you were just the beginning."

This book was a shade slow for me personally as it was two broken souls finding their way instead of he girl rescuing the guy which seems to attract me the most.

HOWEVER by about the middle of story I started to really dig these two together.

I don’t normally cry when reading/listening to books but this one had me in tears and soggy smiles for the last hour of the book.

This book is simply beautiful.
