I'd never red any of the authors' poetry before this book so I wasn't sure what to expect. It's rated fairly high and poetry is so objective, so who am I to really rate it? I'm just going to say that it simply wasn't for me - many of the poems were very sexual and/or vulgar which I didn't like. There were two or three poems I very much liked and a few that I liked bits and pieces of though.

I love the darkness in each poem, I must say. However, I didn't connect with the majority of the poems in this book. There were a few that I really liked and even a couple I would recommend to one of my friends.

The poetry was written in free verse, which is my favorite, so that was something that made the poems a little more understandable to me.

Overall, I feel like this book has a great amount of darkness. It's just not my favorite. But, that's not to say that it's not someone else's cup of tea! So read on and develop your own thoughts!

Not really sure how to rate this since the two authors were completely different. I can't say that I connected much with Wren's half of the book, although you can tell his work is deeply personal. I really enjoyed Casey's half and am looking forward to picking up more of her collections soon! There are undoubtedly some great lines in here and all the poems are a bit twisted for those of us who are tired of traditional works about love and happily ever afters.
