I liked the book in general. The way all the poems can stand for themselves but also tell a broader, more fluid and continuous story (or rather journey) was well done. A lot of the poems when looked at them separately are also nice and full of emotions the author felt at that time. However, in my opinion the poems within a section or theme are a bit too similar and feel repetitive. The same metaphor are reused a bit too often throughout all poems. While I did enjoy reading the book, it didn’t necessarily feel like something new and rather like something you had already heard before. I enjoyed Whitney hansons social media appearance a lot and I think the audio book might do a better job at conveying the poems and making them more original and special, since the author reads the book herself. So looking back I would have bought the audiobook instead. In general an overall ok poetry collection with a few hidden gems. Can’t wait to see the author grow more (personally and in her poetry).

my favourite sections were the first three because I am a masochist and also the fourth was a little disjointed to me, but really good and I enjoyed that this wasn't like just fifty pages it's a full 300 plus.
