It was good - I'm a sucker for Anansi stories and this one did not disappoint. Is'nana is an interesting character and this volume did a good job of introducing his powers and personal beliefs. The artwork was also in tune with the story which, as always, is much appreciated.

I love the concept and Is'nana as a character. It's dope! Looking forward to the next ones.

Been interested in reading this since I learned about it it in [b:Black Comix Returns|36224042|Black Comix Returns|John Jennings|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1505165256l/36224042._SX50_.jpg|57861907].

So when I saw the Kickstarter for volume 2, I jumped at the chance to get it!

And it did not disappoint! The writing was great - I loved the stories - and the art is so fitting!

Check it out if you can.

I really liked that Anansi and his folklore was the base for this comic. I'd read some of the stories of Anansi as a kid and so it was nice to see this reimagining. Readers didn't need to come in with a knowledge of Anansi to understand the story. The panels of Osebo possessing his victims are well-drawn and unsettling. I was a little thrown off by the change in art styles between the cover and the story. I'd describe the style as more impressionistic, but I still enjoyed it.
