A bit of this was a little too far fetched for me but I still really enjoyed the book and loved the characters.

I didn't think I could like a heroine as much as Janie, but Sandra is freaking awesome. She is what kept me reading - tearing through the book in one day. Alex, meh, for 75% of the book I felt like he was 15 and Sandra was his mother and it wasn't very attractive to me. I liked Alex's character though, the non-he seems like he's under age wanting to make out with a late 20s gal part. I was intrigued by the bitcoin and smart/awkward part of Alex.
I loved the knitting ladies. I kept screaming in my head ask for Quinn's help and was glad it was finally forthcoming. It was all cleaned up in a pretty nice yet messy and complicated package - plus we got a glimpse at the badass that is Fiona.
I am completely drawn to these books, mostly because the heroines are just so smart. My complain about the slut/slamp is still there but it was very minimal in this book.

The good reviews on this book really tricked me. It was so hard to get through, I almost dnf multiple times. Alex was full of red flags and Sandra being a psychiatrist would’ve seen that so that didnt make any sense. It felt kind of childish considering these people are supposed to be super smart

4.5 - I’m not sure what happened in Book 2, but this one me is back to the witty banter & quirky, smart characters that I’m used to seeing from Penny Reid! Plus, the narrator was excellent!! Couldn’t stop reading!
