Really sweet story that’s doesn’t feel overly saccharine in dealing with adoption.

There was really no need for the love interest to be
Spoiler the adoptive father of the baby she gave away
, I feel like there were other more interesting things we could have explored a bit deeper.

I loved this one, it was so heart warming and explored so many different topics I had no idea it would be so serious and emotional when I read the synopsis!

I will just be buying anything she writes. This is my third one by Emiko this year and I have really enjoyed them all.

Mika gives her daughter  up for adoption and 16 years later she comes looking for her mother. I love the found family, the reflection on their relationships and the introspection. I did find as it went on my interest waned but that could partially be because it was an audiobook.
