I don't know what to rate this book. It was so predictable. I knew what would happen in the first 2 pages. I did that they way her and "Carlo" were together. That was cute.

Short fast read. It was good.

I did feel that there was another story of the Duke and Serena that I should have read to maybe understand them better, but that story does not seem to exist. I liked the ending but I did want a little more.

This book was ok, harder to get into and predictable. I did enjoy the different take of a Regency era with the Spanish side of the war. Very short.

Cheesy, fluffy, predictable. But very cute.

Had I discovered this book several years ago (when I routinely read regency romance), I would have adored it to pieces. But I fear I've read too many regency books since then, and now I've grown a little tired of the genre. However, it was a pleasant enough read, though I did roll my eyes several times.

Overall, it wasn't bad. I've just outgrown regency books for now.

This was a fun, easy regency romance. I liked the characters and while the story was a bit preposterous, it was still entertaining.

Just like all of Jennifer Moore's historical romances; practically perfect in every way. The characters are unique and fun, you can root for them all the way. The situations are a different side of the same place where so many of these stories get told.

One review said there's no misunderstandings, which I was excited about, but there are misunderstandings, but they don't last very long and they don't lead to big scenes. There are quiet hurt feelings, then understanding and forgiveness very quickly which us almost as good as no misunderstandings.

I also like how the implied masquerade party in the title doesn't become the clique (that's not the right word is it? But it's 10.26pm, bedtime) cliche, ah that's the word! Doesn't become the cliche grand reveal everything's well because this is romantic right!? But the hero took the time to talk first and found a time to do it.

OK that's it, good book. Good night.
