Interesting set up but the people did not always stay consistent with character and things would often just abruptly shift or resolve.

I enjoyed this book, it was a story about rekindling relationships between siblings. It had jokes and parts that made me laugh and was an easy listen (audible). I found the characters likable and got invested in what was going to happen with their relationship. I would recommend this one if you’re in the mood for a warm, feel-good story!

This was the Big Library Read this month. Given the unlimited copies available for loan, I grabbed it for a plane trip. Easy fun read!

I liked the family relationships in this book and the quest to find the missing brother, but didn’t really understand why everyone villainized Natalie for the night she called the police? That was nearly impossible for me to get over (for the OPPOSITE reasons her family felt), then the abuse and parenting/aunting were just incredibly unbelievable. If the subject matter were lighter it could be a nice fluff/beach read, but it tried to tackle too much and just couldn’t.

I won this on a Goodreads giveaway. I really enjoyed the characters. The story really seemed to capture a situation that could have been real. I would like to read more from this author.

not a book I would typically reach for, but I’m glad I did! this was advertised on Libby and the synopsis intrigued me. it was slow to start, but, i loved the characters coming together - family pulls at my heart strings. i love Buck

The big reveal of why her entire family blamed her for her siblings going to jail was literally insane (like they’re all delusional to think that’s her fault lol). Just didn’t care enough to continue after that.
