This ends the story of Essun desperate to find and save her child while the world falls apart around her. I'm not sure how I feel fully about this ending as a whole and whether I love it, hate it or am indifferent. I loved a lot of the parallels of what happened to her daughter in reference to Essun but I feel like some of the wow factor of the first book was lost throughout this series which while understandable makes it hard for me to know my rating. I do highly recommend this series though; it is not a waste of yours or anyone else's time to give this a go.

such a satisfying end to the series! it was so nice to finally get all my worldbuilding questions answered, as well as fine resolution for these characters. i was scared by the end that it would be too rushed (there were too little pages left lmao) but i ended up really enjoying it!! a stunner of a series
