I love how funny these books are but I also love how the little messages are intertwined in the story. I really related to parts of this story. I can honestly say I don't think I've ever laughed out loud so much while reading a book. TJ Klunes is definitely my comfort author

Okay. I need 10...NO 20 MORE books in this series. There's just something about TJ Klune's unique pot driven plots and out of pocket characters that turn me into a giggling, starry eyed mess. I LOVE this world Klune has created with these characters. There are some really great quotes in these books and I already know I need to buy the physical copies in order to highlight the shit out of them.

Only downside? It took me awhile longer to get into the groove of this book. IDK there's just something about Gustavo Tiberius that really hooked me in the first book. What the hell.

I loved this book almost as much as I loved How To Be A Normal Person. Again, Klune presents more characters whose identities aren't 'typical,' yet again providing love and validation for the less common (but no less valid) identities in the queer community, or more appropriately, the human community. And yet again, I fell in love with this collection of misfits. I envy their bravery and aspire to their level of authenticity.

Damn, I don't think [a:T.J. Klune|5073330|T.J. Klune|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1546275989p2/5073330.jpg] can write a book I don't love.

Josiah gave me Joey from Friends vibes. He's an actor trying to make iT, having starred in shows as a dead body and infomercials about genital herpies. After a meet cute with author Q-Bert, Joshia finds himself staring in a film written and directed by Q-Bert.

Josiah is demisexual, and it was awesome to watch Q-Bert and his relationship grow throughout.

The majority of the story takes place in Abby, Oregon, so we get loads of Gus and Casey content.

I can't decide if I prefer this or [b:How to Be a Normal Person|25548442|How to Be a Normal Person (How to Be, #1)|T.J. Klune|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1437768781l/25548442._SY75_.jpg|45341713], they're both perfect!

Funny (but not in the almost painfully clever way of the How We Fall series). Totally heart-wrenching for these characters and spot on with the concerns. His stuff is not an auto-buy for me (some of the humor is too broad and some of the drama is too painful) but I consider every single one.
