This book will stay with me for a while. It presents itself as an interesting twist on life - someone who has a definitive life plan set out for them gets a glimpse into the future. The story takes twists and turns with characters that you come to know and cheer for. Themes of friendship, true love, family, and more make this a great read that I highly recommend.

This was a pretty quick read. After the first chapter, I spent most of the book trying to find out how that would happen. It was done very well. Sweet story, although it didn't make me cry, like it probably should have.

I love this book. I read the book in one sitting and I haven’t done that since I read Speak in middle school.

This book is all about how we can have a plan for how we want our lives to look like but it rarely, if ever, turns out to be the exact way we imagined it.

I liked the character of Dannie, I liked how sure she was of what she wanted and how much of a planner she was. On the night she nails her dream job interview and gets engaged to her boyfriend, she wakes up exactly five years in the future with a different ring on her hand, in a different apartment, and a different man. When she wakes up back in her own home she tries to shake off the dream and continues on with her life until she meets the man from her dreams.

It was a very enjoyable read and I did not expect the story to go where it was going. I couldn’t put it down and I think this is a book that will stay with me for a long time.

i thought it was sweet! sad and sweet and lovely and also would have been fine with out the man… stories about friendship can be important on their own!

but still cute and readable

I hear so many mixed reviews about this book but I really enjoyed it. Going into this, I didn’t expect the ending at all. It was different from every other book I read and had an important lesson behind it. The book does have an open ending so leave that in mind. If you’re looking for a book that doesn’t have the basic HEA and deals with friendship, loss and heartbreak this is great for you.

If you are looking for a light hearted rom com, this is not it. It’s sweet and beautiful but it is very sad and heavy. Not at all what I was expecting.

This story felt like a story that’s been told a million times before. And I like that story. Usually. The story of platonic friendship meaning more than you ever thought it could, not realizing that until it’s tested. I love story’s on friendship and I even liked the notion that Bella’s relationship with both Dannie and Aaron was what affected their relationship. But I didn’t get it. I liked the idea but it didn’t click to me. To be honest Aaron never felt real. He felt like a like, like Dannie’s dream. I was always waiting for the moment he became more but he never did. So this familiar story done in this particular way I didn’t like. I would have loved this if it focused less on the ruse of romance and more in the affects the friendship had on her life. Less about how she was never really in love with David and more on how she lived so long without realizing it or acting on it. How Bella influenced her thoughts and reflections and how she would continue to through her life. I would have liked to feel more of Aaron and Bella’s love but the image was tainted by the false romance of Aaron and Dannie. Maybe if he wasn’t a stranger when she first saw him 5 years into the future- maybe if she already knew how he loved Bella. I would have felt a lot more loyal to Bella than Dannie. I like that I didn’t understand every little thing the characters would do in here because humans are unpredictable and sometimes they really don’t make sense. This story did touch me but because I was imaging it as what I wanted it to be but when I really look at it- it isn’t that. I wanted more introspection, more relationships, more interactions, I wanted everything to feel more real. I did like the end with the doctor though I think that was a good setup.
