I’m only giving this book a 1,5/5 stars because of how many times they called each other “step-sister” or “step-brother” like here’s a direct quote from the epilogue (from the hero’s pov)
«I’m suddenly overcome by a wave of affection for this woman. My best friend, my wife, the mother of my children. My stepsister. »
Like this for some reason does not sit right with me.

The mother of the h and the father of the H are really toxic and they body shame the h a lot. And the h & H are step-siblings (related by marriage). The H is dealing with a lot of PTSD because of things that happened while he was in the navy

This was literally a fun read of a—modern hippie gal and her military step brother, who on their first meeting, sparks fly. Quick, to the point, and packed with tons of growth from both characters—I just love Kane’s stalker books. She just does it so well.
