I found the first 3/4 of this book slow, and I thought it could probably have used tighter editing because the tone of the novel kept shifting. This book is SAD. But it was just what I needed and I cried the whole last quarter but in a cathartic way.

This was such a heartwarming book. I love the theme, an important life lesson of letting yourself be vulnerable to the people you love. The travel aspect I always love and I’m a sucker for a found family.

I liked this book a great summer or holiday read.
I did find the ending quite rushed, the build up was so good that it was disappointing that everything was resolved so quickly.
