I was a little disappointed with this book. The other eight books in the series are brilliant - 5 stars every one. But this is somehow less interesting. There are fewer characters, less storylines, and simply much less scope. Still a great series overall.

This book starts out with the slowest, weakest pacing of the series. But it redeems itself halfway through and returns to the normal, tense pace you'll have come to love.
Graphic: Gore
Moderate: Mental illness, Death, Grief, War, Body horror, Blood, Medical trauma, and Panic attacks/disorders

Great ending to a great series. Now I guess I've got to try the show.

The story felt a bit slow in the beginning. It wasn't as action-packed and tense as other books in the series — of course, I read them a while ago, so my impressions might be different for a subjective rather than an objective reason :). This one had a more wistful, nostalgic mood, which made sense for the events in the story and the age of the main characters. Many people have mentioned that it was a satisfying ending to the series, and I agree. Overall, I enjoyed Leviathan Falls but not as much as other Expanse books. It's definitely worth reading if you've come this far.
