I got this book out of a blind date with a book. Good, but it didn’t live up to the thriller vibes I expected. I wish the murder had been sooner. I had wanted it to happen early and then have a Clue-style mystery. The plot was still good and I liked the twists at the end, but it wasn’t the murder mystery I had hoped for.

I could NOT put this book down. I loved the seamless storytelling of different perspectives on every chapter, and how each character's point of view intertwined with the others as the story went on. Mysterious setting with excellent plot twists; the use of the characters' past blending in with the present was very well done. I savoured the smooth reading without overanalysing the 'whodunnit' aspect, and was very excited and practically mindblowned upon reaching the climax of the book. Absolutely enjoyed myself with this one!

i had my suspicions about the ending but i’m bad at guessing endings so i really try not to do it. i loved how this book wrapped up because it was still interesting even after you find out who died and even after you find out who did it

This book started off slow and I wasn’t quite sure I was going to enjoy it, but it picks up halfway and really gets good.

The premise of all the characters gets having secrets is intriguing and I enjoyed that some secrets were hinted at enough that I could guess them (and feel the rush at being right) and others were obscured enough that the reveals felt thrilling.

The ending is wow, best twist, definitely worth it! So good!

The twists and discoveries throughout were very well done. Wish the ending had been expanded/fleshed out a bit more.

A great thriller who dunnit, which gave me And Then There Were None vibes. This was a really enjoyable and easy read!

I did find it a bit predictable however, and I managed to guess most of the links between the people on the island before they happened. The reason for the half star though is that I honestly didn’t know who the murderer was until the last few pages, I think Foley did a fantastic job at that as well as picking up the pace.
