I liked this! A straightforward who done it. It was fun. I guessed some of the twist, but this book had twists to spare. 

The private-school friends were unbearable. Their bro behavior was appropriate for the characters, but I still didn't like them. There was a lot of casual sexual harassment and misogyny which isn't my favorite theme for a book. 

All together, this book kept me coming. I flew through the last 100 pages. 

to me, it seems unlikely that Will could be the cause of all the problems for all the main characters. but the mutual hatred for Will made for a fun killing scene.

This was somehow both entertaining and slightly aggravating... I wanted to know what happened, but found the pacing slightly off (we don't know what the terrible thing is OR how it came to be until the very end). Also, every character in this book was somehow more awful than the last. So: rich people behaving badly at a wedding on a secluded island off the coast of Ireland, all of whom are fairly terrible and have lots of secrets, rage, anxiety, and regrets, with a hefty dose of Lord of the Flies, somehow worse because the schoolboys are now grownups.

It was definitely a slow start for me - though maybe I just wasn’t in the right mood to start. However, once the plot really began it breezed by. It was captivating and truly left shocked with the plot twists. The connections the characters have and the dynamics at play are incredible. Highly recommend for those who enjoy reading thrillers that aren’t too graphic. Also, please make sure to look over the trigger warnings as it could be highly triggering (even to people aren’t typically effected by graphic descriptions).

This reminded me of Agatha Cristie's "And then there were none". Ive heard writting mystery today can be difficult because everything feels over done. Foley keeps the suspense and mystery in a good balance.
