While I was not surprised by the twist, I still found this story very enjoyable. Gothic and dark but also hopeful, this book shows an incredible character journey of a young girl who must navigate a cruel man’s world

Surprised the TikTok girlies love this one as much as they do because it's slow and plotless (in the best way). Reid is able to craft remarkable atmosphere and characters that I imagine would only improve on reread

I keep trying "dark academia" books and never enjoy them even though it feels like I should. I just didn't like this one, despite appreciating all the parts individually. It's taking me forever to get into this, and I just don't feel the desire to keep going. DNF.
