The Club Avalon books are all intense books, both in terms of the characters and the BDSM aspects.

There is no mistaking this amazing author and her way of creating a story. Braun was amazing in his patience and guidance in helping Bodie. Bowie, that sweet girl. Her backstory was heartbreaking. I wish her parents had been tortured with ten thousand sand fleas in their nether regions and were forced to deal with that in limbo forever.

Great set up for more stories in this series. I look forward to seeing the other characters next.

This book to me was really hard to get through. The main FMC was so all over the place. It was hard to follow her reactions to even the simplest things, and the writing in my opinion was really hard to follow and there was a lot of mistakes in it. I finished the book because I’m stubborn and it doesn’t seem fair to write a review unless I finished however, this book is not some thing I will recommend to other people.

So I got this during a "stuff your kindle" event... and I regret NOTHING! It is a bit darker content (if you couldn't tell by the cover... ) so be sure to check trigger warnings. There is some abuse and violence in the main characters past but NONE of it was done by her current love interest. This book fulfills the strong girl who's been through hell and just need someone to take control and take care of her for once trope. And honestly, I get that! It was a fairly quick read if your a feral romance reader like me! the Spice was Spicy and the Romance was Sweet. Toss in a little mystery and action and some psychological themes. All together I would probably read this again. and I love that it's a 7-part series each part a different character that all connect together. I look forward to reading the other Avalon stories!

Dance for Me
Club Avalon #1
by Kay Elle Parker
Narrated by Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St Claire

How can this be my first Kay Elle Parker book? This is exactly the kind of story I love. A little angst, a lot trepidation and unconditional help and love. Bodie is struggling. With no help from her conniving family, she is destitute. When her best friend takes her to his place of work and his boss, Braun offers her a job to dance though, she is hesitant. Attraction to Braun may be a little of the issue, but it's more working at a BDSM club that has her second guessing this chance. But when push comes to shove, the job is what she needs. Or is it Braun? Taken with her, he will do anything to keep her safe, and help her realize all of her potential...in life and in the bedroom. But her past is still haunting her and it's bringing danger with it. Will Braun and her new family at the club be the ones to find her in time? Parker writes with an emotional pen, keeping me in the moment as Bodie wilts and blossoms. Braun is a man that builds her up and left me swooning for more. And the secondary characters, from doms and mistresses to best friends kept that feeling of family around her, giving me that feeling of love and warmth, both in the club and out. I cannot wait to see what is coming in the next installment of this series!

Bringing all the feeling to the story is the narration team of Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St Claire. This is the perfect cast for these characters. Braun is the strong, protective alpha type and Qualen's smooth, commanding baritone is the perfect fit. He adds just enough warmth to his tones to let us know his emotions and even a slight Irish brogue when Braun lets it fly. St Claire has a job to do with Bodie. She has so many layers to work through to let us see her true self, and and each one is pulled off with her narration. This team has a chemistry and connection that shines through in this couple and made for a realistic and wonderful performance.
