We all enjoyed this one(Chubbula, too). The illustrations are beautiful. I enjoyed the story being told from the perspective of the cow without being overly anthropomophoric.

Beautiful paintings illustrate this gentle story of a day in the life of a cow.

I really wanted to like this book. The illustrations are soft and on canvas. They are beautifully rendered and appear very realistic while still have an impressionist quality. Yet, the text poses as being poetic, but is really quite off-putting. It is mostly told in second person, which reads awkwardly and goes between third person on pages that do not directly discuss the cow. Overall, I give this book a "meh."
