Jess was a very interesting woman. She was badass, sassy, sarcastic, strong, intelligent. I wish, though, that her past with Lucas Baker had been revealed. Hell, maybe it was and I just missed it, but I never really made the connection between them. I mean, she hated him a helluva lot and I never really knew why. Also, I would have liked to get more details on her abusive past. I mean, that's not to say I'm sadistic or anything and would have enjoyed it, but I might have been able to connect even better with her pain if I understood completely where it came from.
Payton was a good character. He was dedicated to his family, loyal, loving, smart, and gentle. I love how he did whatever he could to find his niece.
Nikki...I was a little iffy on how I felt about her in the beginning. I mean, what a little brat. Once she got to the textile compound, though, and realized she screwed up, I started liking her and feeling bad for her. I mean, come on: who could be hating on a girl who was misled and abducted so they could take her internal organs and sell them on the black market? In the end, though, she proved to be very strong, especially when she saved all the other girls.
I absolutely loved Sam and Joe.
I really liked the intrigue of the story. At first I thought that they were selling the girls as part of the sex trade, but then I found out they were harvesting body parts.
The end of this book left me with a few questions, though: What's up with Alexa Marlowe? Who is Seth Harper, really? And most importantly: There was no sex but there was an HEA?!
