I read the original version back in college and loved it. This is a revised version with some additional content that was edited out originally. It fills out the story and characters much more. It was great to revisit these characters.

"Gli occhi di Mr Fury" è un romanzo strano ai confini tra realtà e magia.. E credo di non riuscirlo ad apprezzare al cento per cento per una mia incapacità di trascendere dalla realtà (e non che non riesca ad apprezzare i fantasy, tutt'altro.. Ma un romanzo per me deve essere tale, senza elementi 'magici', 'sovrannaturali' e via dicendo.
Forse non sono riuscita ad apprezzarlo anche per una mia limitata sensibilità.. O ancora: l'ho desiderato per così tanto tempo che forse la delusione è ancora più cocente :(
Chi lo sa.. Fatto sta che il romanzo mi ha un po' lasciato con l'amaro in bocca e pur riconoscendo la bellezza di alcune descrizioni il modo in cui è raccontato, i dialoghi un po' sterili, i personaggi che sono più ombre che altro e la malinconia intrinseca del racconto mi hanno lasciato titubante e.. Triste :/
