It didn't go where I thought it was headed, but it was still interesting and different from a lot of what I've been reading and the best thing about a shitty day.

Not my favorite.
Brilliant series; HEAs
don't promise perfect.

There's something about watching an uptight person learn to chill out. And when Vinnie, Austin and Raffi's uptight out-but-straight-and-narrow roommate, finds himself in the path of very flamboyant Bryan things get interesting.

I'm hoping we haven't exhausted all our characters in this series, but aside from straight roommate Bob, there doesn't seem to be anyone left. Which would be a shame, although I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy whatever Amy Jo Cousins thinks up next.

The bickering between roommates and BFFs Austin and Vinnie was one of my favorite parts of writing LEVEL HANDS. And the tweets and emails and messages started coming pretty much immediately: "When do we get a book about those two?"

Well, they're coming, but not exactly the way everyone anticipated...

HARD CANDY tells Vinnie's story, LOVE ME LIKE A ROCK tells Austin's story, and BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE is the duology containing both novellas (and the latter will be available in paperback too for those of you who have a collection going!).

Sneak peeks and giveaways of all three books will be happening in my newsletter over the summer. Sign up at http://eepurl.com/YdVW1 if you want in on that goodness!

I'm slightly in love with this book. I enjoyed reading about a college student who works his ass off and is (over)committed to his studies, I loved seeing a male character who dresses in a more "feminine" style (and is a dancer!!!!), and I loved seeing the development of their relationship and how Vinnie gains so much self-knowledge and self-acceptance over the course of this story. This was sweet and funny and real and I want everyone to read it ASAP.
