There is something about the way that Myles talks about writing - as a state of being, a repetitive describing the world - that really keeps resonating with me.

This is a direct transcript of a speech they gave at Yale, and the lack of punctuation shows it.  It has not been edited for clarity, really, and is quite rambling. If you wanted to know Eileen Myles’ qualms about their landlady, look no further!

I did rather enjoy the parts that focused more on writing and the creative process.
