Maybe it's unfair of me to give this book a one-star review because I know I'm not the target audience, but I really thought the writing was bad. I literally never understood why the two main characters were in love, I just had to trust that they were. I love the movie and thought the book would be beautiful and it was not.

Quite honestly, I think everyone assumes that this book would be at least equal to the movie because, I mean, come on, its "the book". The book is always better than the movie. Unfortunately NOT today. MAJOR disappointment with this one. I could not even pull myself to finish. Awful.
If you have any brains you would not read this book for hours/days and just save your precious time watching the movie.

One of the best love stories I have read! It is a great easy read and one of those books I turn to for comfort.

Hmmm. I was looking for something light and easy after a heavier read. I loved the movie and due to the book's popularity I thought I would enjoy this one. I just didn't feel the same connection between the characters that I did in the movie.
