The first time I've personally said this, but I did like the movie better. At least the ending. But I love how Palahniuk writes and it will always hold a special place for me. I was definitely late to this party, this was my fourth Palahniuk book and the third time he's gotten me out of a reading slump.

Shocking, dark and horribly disturbing, I loved this book. The
Spoilerplot twist at the end, where he finds that Tyler is just part of his imagination, and that he's schizophrenic
was incredible. What a read, great book.

Spoiler Split Personality meets cult leader of a regime army that follows a bunch of rules. Can’t really talk about it though, because of the first rule.

first Palahniuk book I’ve read and I love his writing stylei. One of my favorite things about it was just how often the narrator slips into the second person for prolonged periods of time. The distance and sameness between Tyler Durden and the narrator; the distance and sameness between the narrator and you.

Probably a lot more relatable than it should’ve been, but what can I say—I’m a working class communist insomniac who has loads of intrusive thoughts about violence and spends most of their time feeling simultaneously suicidal and terrified of death.
