I devoured the audiobook in two days because I just couldn’t stop listening. There is nothing I wish was different about this book, therefore, 5 stars. The prose was lovely. The characters were great and I loved their development.

This was a pretty good romance. Nice conflict without unhealthy, unnecessary, completely avoidable if only the characters had common sense, drama. I also enjoyed the side plots of the characters. All in all a good fun read, nothing really to complain, (maybe the main love interest was a bit stereotypical)

IM SOBBINGGGG THIS BOOK WAS SO CUTE and as a hopeless romantic, I feel like Emily Henry literally stole my diary, and then wrote this book, because how could she know?????

Following the passing of Januarys father she has to go to his beach house to clean out the property. Once she gets there she learns her college nemesis Augustus Everett lives next door. After a few conversations about writers block the two agree to do a theme switch to help with their writers blocks. Augustus is a literary writer, whilst January is a romance writer. Over time helping each other to learn about the others genres the two slowly learn more about each other.

So this was my first Emily Henry book and I can see what all the rom com hype is about! It’s down right damn cute and full of lovely rom-com vibes with a smidge of life extremism. Everything this girl could want in life and more! If you’re looking to start on the Emily Henry bandwagon I’ll definitely say it’s a great first book as the only one I’ve read so far! 🙊
