This one brought more emotion and nostalgic memories, rather than just the wry humor that is a major device and theme of this series. Well done Mr. Patterson!

This book was adorable for middle school children - told through the POV of Rafe, who is clearly more interesting than the 'good' sister, there's plenty of humor and bizarre antics following him around as he finds out his school closed down and now he's forced to attend his old school. But there's a catch - a big one. He must complete a week for troublemaker children in the wilderness. There he'll either pass or fail and not be able to attend public school. Cute jokes, his comics drawn are present, fun illustrations, moral lessons, and worthy characters for this age group.
I'm not sure if I'd want my student to attend that hard week, but then again, it worked out well in the end. Those reading this won't grow bored.
This picture drawn of the United States and Florida especially made me chuckle -
