I don't know why I liked it but I did, I liked the narrator and the way the story was told. It was an unusual book and I didn't much like any of the characters but it was an interesting story. I can't believe Daisy betrayed Jay like that, I honestly thought she was going to go off with him, and she literally murdered Myrtle and then Gatsby died and it was all Daisy's fault. And Tom, I couldn't stand him, it's also his fault, he basically caused Wilson to kill Gatsby. Also, they didn't even come to his funeral, it was just Nick and that random library guy, I mean I didn't particularly like Gatsby but nobody came to his funeral, that's just sad. I really wanted Nick to go off with Jordan but then she was just rude and he decided to never speak to her again. That really annoyed me.

This was such a beautiful novel, incredibly sad but beautiful. Reading this as at my age now I fully understand why it isn't meant to be a love story but I still really enjoyed it
