Yes! Yes! Yes! I have been waiting for Corinne to do something Miliarty based and with memory loss. The one trope I believe is not utilized enough. I mean who doesn't love a person who has o fall in love with you all over again.

The anguish and longing in this book are spot on and exactly what we all needed. I do wish the description had the character names instead of a general description of the storyline,

Brielle has lost three years of her life and he beloved brother - she feels more comfortable with Spence than she ever remembered - no one will give her information and her mind is unreliable

Spencer has lost more than just his best friend - while he navigates that and gets the girl of his dreams to fall in love with him again.

the drama, the alpha behaviour, and head-butting are what I needed out of this book. I was so excited to read about some very much missed characters

I struggled a bit with the h, but who am I to say how someone in this situation would act? I loved the H. Wish the suspense had been a bit more suspenseful - the story was more of a mystery than thrills, but I was glued to the pages to see how it turned out.

Brielle wakes up and she knows that something is wrong very wrong, finding out her brother died was only the start. Brielle seems have lost the last three years of her memory.
They believe that allowing Brielle to remember by herself is the best way to help find her brother’s killer. With her brother’s best friends by her side, she becomes frustrated with things, she remembers she’s not with her ex, she finds an engagement ring, and no one knows who gave it to her.
Spencer is by her side, with her knowing he can help her retrace her last steps from the beginning.
Spencer is becoming more and more frustrated even more so when Brielle pushes him away because she doesn’t have her memory back. He becomes more determined to find out who the killer is because all he wants is the girl he loves back.

A weak representation of an interesting trope
It would’ve been better to make them hate each other from before they’ve fallen in love so that when she loses her memory she goes back to them being enemies, if that makes sense

Corinne always brings ALL the feelings- and this story certainly squeezes the heart. I was super excited to dive into this new world, a small town romantic suspense, brother’s best friend, and age gap story?! Paired with Corrinne’s skilled ability to balance romance and mystery and the heartfelt tenderness she imbues in every story, I knew we were in for a treat, and what a beautiful story it is. Heartbreaking, healing, mystery, and so much love- it’s the ultimate Corinne Michaels experience.

Our heroine Brielle is suffering from amnesia after the intense trauma of her brother’s murder. While psychologically repressing the painful memories, recalling them becomes critical in discovering just what happened and ensuring her safety. Though Brie may not remember the last few years, she’s not alone- her brother’s friends are there to ensure her safety and be there for her family, but none more so than Spencer, brother’s best friend and reporter who doesn’t just want to solve the mystery but get her heart. Because of Brielle’s memory less, we too are in the dark, trying to piece her life together, to figure out just what has happened. And because of that, I won’t say much, but it’s such a compelling reading experience- that whole unreliable narration of not knowing just what is real, of trying to connect the dots.

Corinne is always so deft as crafting stories that balance so many emotional notes. Heartbreak and love go hand in hand, devstation and healing. As Brielle struggles to remember a lot of pain and recall the most devastating thing in her life while finding healing and hope in the arms of a man that she has an intense connection with but can’t fully remember. We feel so intensely for Brielle, the chaos of being lost in your own memoires, the tension of staying in a dark oblivion versus remembering something so painful. And Spencer, OMG SWOON. My heart hurts for him, for all that he’s lost. Because he’s lost as much as Brielle, but has his memory of it. And it rips your heart out, but there is so much hope and beauty in their rediscovery. And we have some really sweet, even humorous ones, amidst all th
These two have shown up for each other at their lowest, each saving the other in their own beautiful, breathtaking way in the moments they’ve needed it the most. It’s just so gosh darn romantic.

The audio of the book also really enhanced the characters for me, and I couldn’t stop listening. I’m looking forward to more from this world!

this was mostly boring. the characters lacked personality and the storyline mostly made little sense in a world of reality. giving it two stars mainly because there WERE parts that were well done but they all fell apart quickly. the smut scenes were cringey and not well done either. just wasn’t thrilled with it and wouldn’t recommend it.
