CW: violence, gun violence, domestic violence, murder
This starts as an amnesia story after the FMC's brother is killed during the same incident. The prosecution believes the best path forward is for Brie to remember on her own rather than to tell her about her life from when she remembers up to the incident. Brie turns to Spencer, who she has had a crush on her whole life and who was one of her brother's best friends, to help her figure things out. It continues to be a confusing, emotional ride for Brie. This was a great page-turner and I'm glad it was the first book I read by this author.
