In the first book of this series, titled Thoughtless, I really hated the main character, Kiera. I hated her much less in this book. In Effortless, Kiera did a lot of maturing, and while she still made some pretty stupid mistakes, at least she owned up to them. Thankfully, Kellan did too. Together, they were funny, sweet, and most definately steamy. While they had some communication issues, sex was not a problem here.

Please know, this is a long book, and I read it while on vacation. I would not recommend this book while on vacation. It made me crazy, and I had to put it down, a lot. That being said, it was a good book and worth a read. Enjoy!

I am giving this book 4 stars, only because I was so involved with the characters from the first book. I was glad to see that Kiera has matured a lot since the first story, but not much happened in this one. It was a bit draggy at the beginning then tied up in a bow at the end.

The overuse of words and expressions were in this book as well, but not as prevalent as the first ("blushing" 153 times!) But "chuckling" and "flushing" were there a lot. A good editor can clean up a lot of the problems with these books. But SC Stephens is a good storyteller, so those problems can be overlooked. The books have a feeling of a young girl writing in her diary....but at the end of Effortless, we see that may be intentional?

Overall, I liked watching how this relationship matures......I will read the next.

I liked Effortless much more than the first book mainly due to Kiera. I still dislike her character, but she did a lot if growing in this book and in the end I didn't hate her. I felt Denny's return was completely unnecessary, regardless of his role, and I really liked Griffin and Anna's story line. I don't know that I'll read the third book anytime soon; it kind of feels like things should be complete and I'm not sure I could take more of Kiera right now.

Well, I have a love-hate relationship with these characters throughout the series but this book made me love them more than hate then. I love the dynamic between the characters as a team and couple as well as with the other characters in the series. I am addicted to what these authors write and will easily pick up anything they put out there without reading into the story first.

Just like Thoughtless, this book is going down as one my favorites! I loved it even more than Thoughtless in fact and I am so glad S.C. Stephens is writing a third installment!!

In Effortless, Kiera and Kellan have to see if their love can survive the fact that they both can't trust each other. Why is that? Well, when your relationship starts with you cheating on and with your significant other, it is hard to believe you can trust them to not do it again.

Just as Kiera and Kellan's relationship is getting started Kellan gets an amazing opportunity and just like Kiera and Denny were separated in the first book, it happens to this couple as well. While they love each other passionately, they are both insecure because of how their relationship began. Who wouldn't be in their situation? Love is nothing without trust, and Kiera and Kellan have to see if they can trust themselves and trust one another.

Effortless is a beautiful love story. Reading the book I honestly never believed Kellan could ever cheat on Kiera, he loves her entirely too much. Heck, he didn't even sleep with anyone else in the first book while they were growing closer in the beginning. It wasn't until he thought he completely lost her that he gave in to his impulses to dull the pain of his loss. And Kiera, well she did cheat on Denny, but being inside her head in the books, you are pretty confident she would never do anything to jeopardize this relationship. Does he end up cheating? Does she end up cheating? I don't know..you need to read to find out. But I will promise you, there are a lot of ups and downs and secrets between them. There are also a lot of passionate love scenes, romantic moments, and a lot of times where you will laugh out loud. I love how real these characters are and I absolutely love and adore Kellan Kyle!! I am adding him to my list of fictional boyfriends! =) READ THESE BOOKS! You won't be disappointed!
