This was the first that wasn't a reread--I hadn't actually read the final book before. It was good. I liked that there was ultimately one small battle that took place, and it was focused entirely on a dragonet that had had terrible things happen to her. Really interesting way to end off. I liked it.

A nail-biting wrap up to this series. It ends with a note of finality but...yet...I still want to know what happens to all of these dragons we love after the end! I loved the addition of the new characters and the mind-space, and there was plenty of suspense. It actually felt like the stakes were high, which is nice for a middle grade book.

Fun read, I've been reading this series with my daughter and it has helped explain current events to her in a way she can relate to.

While it took me a while to finish and get over Luna's perspective this story was a great end to the last 5 books.. I really enjoyed the twist about the abyss and it didn't feel forced. I also really liked that we got a lot of answers about the past but there are still some unanswered questions left unsolved. Finally I enjoyed the fact that the epilog did not end with everything being OK if everything being OK and that there were still a lot of things that needed to be done. I feel like a lot of books with a big bad end that way and never address the issues that come with change. Knowing that it is still a struggle but there was hope was a great way to end. I also wqnt to live in a world of big dreams.

You want a middle grade book that will introduce new viewpoints on topics like bias, division, and more? This is it.
