Interconnected short-short stories (3 pages each) that are perfect for the short attention span period that is the holiday season. Coupland is at this best here. The stories are funny and human and true, but just "off" enough to be pure Coupland.

I used to think Douglas Coupland’s books were funny and edgy, but now I just think he’s an asshole. His earlier novels have heart to them, but this just felt like it was banking on shock value. I get that reading these stories is supposed to be like the experience of using the internet - being inundated with constantly shifting tones and information and perspectives. But I go bored after about a third of the book; it felt like I was reading Worst Person Ever, which I couldn’t even finish.
