Grimnirs is Cora's story based off the rune series. We start off with after Cora get out of psych ward her parents put her in. She can see souls everywhere she goes and they will not stay away from her. She can make them go away by using a poker that Sam and Dean from Supernatural taught her. Out of no where she meets this mysterious Grimnir named Echo. But Echo does not know that she is not the same girl he thought he knew. What will happen to Cora and Echo? Will the Grimnir come after her even though she is not the girl they are looking for?

I enjoyed reading this just as much as the first 2 Books in the series-But in a different way. I could definitely tell that this is a NA Book, rather than a YA Book-Like the other ones. It's a lot more...steamy! Which, being an adult myself, is fine by me!
I enjoyed catching up with all of the characters, learning some more Norse Mythology & learning more about Cora & her perspective. The story was very similar to the first Book, which was okay at times & annoying at others!
I personally prefer Raine's perspective, but I prefer the NA style to the YA style & I also prefer Echo to Torin-As for me, Torin seems to be a bit too "perfect" sometimes!
I'm looking forward to continuing on with this series.

I loved reading Coras story! It's interest to see the changes Raine is going through from a different characters point of view.
I don't have a problem with instalove, when it's a soulmate thing, but I can't help but feel that Cora and Echos relationship went a bit fast- kinda makes me feel sorry for Raine and Torin that they've been together longer and not at the same level 😂
Echo is a beautiful character who you can't help but love, despite his bad boy persona. I love the way Ednah Walters involves different histories and cultures, despite the fact that this book follows The Norse Pantheon.

Loved this book! I'll admit it when I first started it I was still sort of longing for Raine and Torin, but in a few pages I was like Raine who?, Torin who? Cora and Echo stole the show! If you thought Torin was smokin' just wait until you meat Echo ..Oh my..! It was great to still have Raine in Torin involved in the storyline while letting Cora shine. I can't wait until Seeress gets here tomorrow and I already ordered Souls too!

This book in the series concentrates on Raine’s best friend Cora. Fresh out of a psych ward, Cora is struggling to get back to a normal life. But it turns out to be particularly difficult as she can still see ghosts/souls and a grimnir named Echo is driving her mad. To top it off, one of her best friends, Eirik, moves away. As Cora continues to search for answers, the chemistry between her and Echo is undeniable. But is she ready? – To handle the answers waiting for her and to handle Echo?
I liked the change of point of view shifting from Raine to Cora. Cora has always been the most bubbly and vivacious among the group of characters in the series. It was an experience to take a ride along Cora in her journey to find answers and give closures to the lost souls. It was interesting the way the author portrayed Cora’s new found affinity to see souls and communicate with them. However, I found her and Echo’s relationship to be a bit sudden. She barely knew the guy when she fell for him. Echo is such an arrogant and overzealous character. I cannot say am particularly fond of him.
I liked the twists that the author threw at us in this instalment. I am hoping there will be another book telling the story from Eirik’s point of view – afterall his life was turned upside down completely.
It was a refreshing to read the story from Cora’s point of view, though I can’t wait to get back to Raine telling the story and taking it further along.

After spending weeks in a psych ward for seeing dead people after a tragic pool situation. Cora is struggling to live a "normal" life. It doesn't help that everyone acts as if she hasn't been gone very long and tells her about all these things she did - that she cant remember. What really is confusing is the strange man that shows up in her bedroom saying that they are lovers.
Echo is...simply put...perfect, badass, sexy, protective, and awesome. He has a troubled past and likes to live day to day just doing his job until he meets the "real" Cora. Echo tries to leave Cora alone and walk away but he can't, they are drawn to each other.
Cora's and Echo's story is perfect. Cora brings out the best part of Echo and he makes her want to be tougher.
I have not read any of the Runes series and did not feel as if I was missing parts of the storyline.

Echo, Echo, Echo.... You beautiful, cocky, sweet, loving man. Torin has owned my heart, but Echo has shown that he is just as special in my eyes.
Cora has just been released from a mental institution and wants nothing more than for her life to go back to normal. But how can you have normal when you are regularly followed by souls and your world has been inhabited by Grimnirs, Immortals, Gods, Norns and Valkyries, and there appears to be mystery and danger at every turn. And then there's the gorgeous, infuriating soul reaper who makes your blood boil one minute and has your heart doing flips the next.
I wanted someone to kiss me like he couldn't get enough of me. Touch me like he'd die if we didn't. Look at me like he was seeing me for the first time every time we were together. I wanted Echo.
I like my books to be heavy on the romance and Ednah Walter's has delivered just what I need once again. I thought Cora's heart belonged to Eirik and I was so torn when Echo emerged on the scene. But Echo won me over. He is a man who truly believes that he's not worthy of love. He believes that his heart and soul are bad. Yes, he's done bad things but he's had such horrid pain in his life. Thank God Cora saw right through him and saw the beautiful, loving man that was buried under his cockiness. He protects, he cares, and he loves. Boy, does he love!!
There was lots of mystery and action to offset the hot romance and I found myself questioning almost everyone's motives at some point during the book. I really felt that I was taking this great journey of discovery right alongside Cora as she learnt more about her new world and it's inhabitants and her abilities.
I'm so happy that the author is writing these books to give us greater insights into the other characters. After reading this I liked Cora so much more. She has much more substance than what I originally thought. And as much as I want to get to know all the characters better, my greedy self is also jumping up and down because it means that the Runes series still has a fair way to go before it wraps up.
Theres not one particular thing that makes Ednah Walters Runes series a standout to me. It's a whole combination of things. It's the fantastic, easy to read writing style. It's the world building and plot twists. It's the incredibly likeable characters. Its the gorgeous swoony males. It's the fine line between Young Adult and New Adult that she manages to walk the story along. This series just keeps getting better with each book.
His chest was right there, begging me to kiss it, so I did, and he groaned. Best fantasy ever.
