I loved that there was a variety of structured poetry and prose in this book. All of the poems are written about topics that children can relate to: jumping rope, riding in a car, taking music class in school, dressing up in parents' clothes, and playing with friends. This is a good selection of poetry that is on the childrens' level and is still interesting.
Personally, I didn't care for most of the poems because they were very short and didn't hold my attention. The topics covered are somewhat mundane real life events, so I didn't find them as compelling.

I watched on Brainpop Jr video on Eloise Greenfield yesterday so figured I should read something by her. I love these poems, and I love anything illustrated by the Dillons. Double love.

Came across this book and realized I'd heard of it before and remembered it from Reading Rainbow. It's great.

This took me forever to look for. But I do love it and I still treasure it in my mind. This book is the main reason i got into poetry. Definitely going to myself a copy!

Loved this collection of poetry. It reminded me of Jacqueline Woodson. Perfect for those who want to reminisce about their childhoods.
