Oh the Bahamas and the pretty mamas!! What could go wrong? The only thing wrong is I have to wait a week for the next part. I got sucked in so deep that I will have to climb out of the abyss in order to read Holding Onto Forever.

The girls have been sent away for a well deserved vacation. Just Josie, Katelyn, and Jenna together on a beach with all the amenities to make sure they have a good time. We get a little more insight into their lives. We discover that love can last.

Then we discover life can change in the matter of minutes.--Here is the kind of cliffhanger. They have to go back early because tragedy has struck someone with in the family. Thankfully on a week between the two releases. Just enough time to read all of the books in the series again.

I had just finished reading a book and was wondering what to read next when my email alert went off, and my decision was made. Forever Our Boys was on my kindle and waiting to be read and who can resist picking up a Beaumont Series book once it's there. Forever Our Boys is told in alternating points of view from Jenna, Katelyn, and Josie, as they finally get their much deserved peace and quiet away from the children, the boys, and enjoy a girls only holiday.

I loved getting to catch up with everybody before the girls go on holiday. We get to see what all of the adults and children are up to now, as well as needing a few tissues to dry the tears. The children are no longer babies, with teenagers aplenty and strong willed 'not so little ones' it was nice to see what they are all up to now, with a few surprises over their choices, as well as seeing how the little ones have grown and taken after.

Forever Our Boys is a quick read, but it fits in perfectly between books and means you can dive into the next book, Holding Onto Forever, that much more faster. I LOVED seeing the girls on holiday, and how they are able to open up more with each other, without the distance of home life between them, as well as revealing some parts of their past and their feelings that were never shared.

I honestly loved everything about this book (except the cliffhanger) and even though it was a quick read, there is enough of everything within the pages to get us up to date and fill in the gaps. I have forgotten how much I love this world of Beaumont, and I really need to make the time to dive back in for a whole series re-read as soon as I get physical copies of the book for my shelf.

Final Verdict
Forever Our Boys is a must read for fans of Beaumont, but make sure you have Holding Onto Forever ready and waiting to be read...the few days wait between books almost killed me, please don't let that be you.

Forever Our Boys by Heidi McLaughlin is a sort of check in for Beaumont fans. This short novella mainly features the wives of our favorite 4225 West rockers. It also sets up her new spin-off Beaumont Next Generation series. If you have enjoyed the Beaumont series, you will want to check this one out.

With Katelyn and Jenna now living in California, they don't get to see Josie as often as they would all like. When their husbands basically push them out the door, the girls leave the kids at home with their guys and head out for a much needed vacation of girl time and visiting with their best friends.

It was great to check in with our favorite characters and see what was happening for each of them. I loved that we got to see how each family's HEA was progressing. I have loved all these characters and their husbands as well as children, so it was nice to be able to look into their lives after their books finished. I will warn readers that this one is short and leaves you on a cliffhanger, anxious for more. It leads perfectly into Holding Onto Forever, which is Peyton and Noah's book. I can't wait to get their story and see how our favorite kids from Beaumont get their own HEAs, just like their parents. If you haven't read the Beaumont series by Heidi McLaughlin, I definitely recommend it. Especially before the spin-off series and before Forever My Girl the movie comes out.

So good to visit with the Beaumont gang again. I really enjoyed the wives' vacation. It was nice seeing how the characters have grown up and dealt with life in the spotlight. This book was the perfect bridge to start the next generation of Beaumont romances. Can't wait to see where the next book leads to.

Note, I did receive an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

This was a nice deviation from the usual Beaumont book in that the focus is on the wives of 4225 West.
I was surprised by the jump in timeline of over a decade from the previous book.
Most of the kids are off in college or pursuing their dreams and Josie, Jenna and Katelyn are taking a week long vacation in the Bahamas.
We get to catch up on what's been happening with these vivacious characters, all of them, and get to see these witty women without their men around.
Jenna is always a likeable character. She is funny and frank and full of love for her immediate and extended family. Her revelation that she has suffered more miscarriages than Josie and Katelyn know about is a sad moment.
There seems to be a running theme with surprise pregnancies followed by fertility issues within this closely group.
Katelyn is an average character for me. She is a great mother and thrives on that which is wonderful, but her personality is perhaps shadowed by her more outgoing family and friends.
I found Josie less annoying in this book than in the previous one. Her and Liam's daughter Betty Paige seems a little spoilt by her father and I empathise with Josie's annoyance over it.

The twist at the end definitely made me was to hop to the Next Generation series, but I was also a little annoyed that it's is essentially history repeating.

✒️ SNEAK PEEK REVIEW ✒️
Josie, Katelyn, and Jenna are taking a much needed girls getaway to relax and unwind with one another, from their everyday life, and leaving the boys to take over the household while they are away. Its so good to be back in Beaumont. Boys will be boys. ❤️ See what is up with the families from the band of 4225 West from their leading ladies in their lives and where the kids are all grown up. This was a sweet read of catching up with my favorite band and looking forward to reading the stories from the next generation. ~ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars
