It’s not often that I say that the spice is better than the plot, but that’s the truth for this book. The plot was weak and predictable and the MFC was so annoying.

this book instantly caught my attention. kept it until about 75% — I feel like the resolution of the issue was too easy?? nothing really happened but it got solved and like moved on. I loved the complexities of the royal lime, Bryn’s family and her past. overall easy read, finished in one day :)

Neon gods meets acatar. I love a good fantasy romance and this one didn't disappoint. Caiden is you average billionaire running empire in Las Vegas. Bryn is your average girl taking advantage of a free trip but like we all' know that isn't always the case. If you love acator or neon Gods don't miss out

I fell for him in the first paragraph. He held me through all his triumphs in the bedroom and struggles in the real world.

I have never read Gina L. Maxwell before, but this book had a blurb that was intriguing and well, it had a Fae King… I just knew I would need to give this new-to-me author a try, and I am SO. GLAD. I. DID!

The Dark King features a seriously HOT dominant, controlling Casino Owner /Fae King, Caiden and a spunky, smart, and sassy Bryn. I enjoyed the heck out of these two characters (and the secondary characters too). These two were oh so right together!

But wait folks, this isn’t just STEAMY, the storyline was amazing! Believe it or not, this dirty girl would have been fine with no steam because the story was that captivating, I just had to know how things were going to play out! The steam was just a bonus. And don’t get me started on Caiden’s brothers, Tier and Finn. I can’t wait for those two to get their own book.

This was a great book and I am definitely going to keep reading this series! This gets a recommendation from me!

I was disappointed in this. I thought it was gonna be a little dark. This is really a barely dark romance about a ONS with two people. The fae element is underwhelming. If you have read darker fae romances, you will want to stop this. I really just wanted to see how it ended. I didn't find Caiden intimidating at all. Definitely not continuing the series.

This was good! I liked it a lot.
It took me a few chapters to get into it. But once I did, it took off! The plot twist was good! Had me gasping. I can't wait for the 2nd book. :D
