I grew up loving Archie, especially as a young kid/preteen. Coming back to it, especially the more classic strips, was really weird but fun. There were definitely some sexist moments that I didn't love, and I'm not going to totally excuse it by saying it's a "product of its time." Luckily, Archie comics now are more inclusive and respectful while still maintaining the fun aesthetic of the fifties and sixties. It was interesting to see how civil rights issues were addressed in the comics, especially Chuck's storylines, and it really reflects on the politics of the time. There were also some really fun strips on the "future" that are truly hilarious now, and Betty and Veronica are lesbians, #confirmed. Overall, enjoyed re-reading and the nostalgia.
