I chose this book because it was compared to “The Curious Incident” and remembered about halfway through that I didn’t really love that book either. This was fiiiine but moved too slow for me and was entirely predictable. Several portions read like a Wikipedia page and the whole Q&A chapter felt like a really lazy way to create character depth.

5 star characters, 3 star story. I really enjoyed Daniel’s perspective and insights, I just found the actual story a little slow for the first 2/3 of the book.

I found the storyline interesting yet predictable but the part of the story that kept me most engaged was that of Daniel and how he lives with SMA. The perspective of Daniel is enlightening, heartwarming, and for me, made me curious to learn more about SMA. This was an easy and entertaining listen.

I can’t believe it took me forever to read this one. It was informative about SMA & advancements for assistance for those suffering from it which I found intriguing. The book had a very satire humorous tone —borderline dark—which I loved because it matches my soul
