I loved this book, but thought it was sad that Steve said he'd hunt Darren down to the ends of the earth. Darren saved his life in exchanged for his life as a human to a creature of the dark.

So my 12 yr old daughter brought this along on a car trip. She read the book in one day. I was curious as to what kind of book would keep her engaged to read that much so I decided to read it to. I read it in a few hours. It was a good story. I can see why it kept her interested. One our trip we went and bought her the next 3 in the series so keep her reading while on vacation. She finished the second one as well. I'll probably try to read these when I have time. Great series for middle schoolers.
