This book is a lot of fun! Left me wanting a bigger story, more of a fight after such a great buildup.

I just feel meh about this book. I like the premise. I don't think I like how it's written. I definitely didn't like the third person and then first person pov chapters.

Solid 3. Some of the characters weren't very distinct, but the feminine rage was palpable and useful. Wish the plot had been a little less transparent, but enjoyable. Needed more on Constance and Minka, but not engaging enough to make it a series.

This is a fast-paced and fun mystery! I loved the characters, and the writing has a really cinematic quality which makes for an extra vivid and entertaining story. If you like an audiobook, this has great readers, and I liked that they had different folks for the two timelines. I would also love to read more adventure/thriller/other genre-fic featuring older women-it's just fun and I'd much prefer to read non-literary fiction with older characters.

So well done and definitely has gotten me more into mystery and assassin esque books cause this was greatttt
Kinda wish there had been an epilogue but due to the way it was written and formatted it doesn’t shock me that there wasn’t
