Yeah, definitely not a fan of this reimagining of Jack the Ripper. But my feelings around this are a bit weird because I like Madame Red and I like Grelle, it's just the fact that they together are Jack the Ripper and the reasons why that I don't like. Also Ciel is ruthless for a 12-13 year old, it's kind of wild.

I’m still finding this series a bit dull, but I’m told it gets better. The characters are flat, the story is weak, and there is no pull. It is trying too hard to be dark and brooding, which takes away from the enjoyment because I can feel how much it is trying to be so. The cook, Gardner, and housemaid are very annoying and I would have no problem seeing them out of the story. I’ll stick with it since it’s a quick read, even if it is wordier than other manga, especially with all the side notes and additions.
