I really don't know how to feel about this series. It's an interesting premise, and the characters are fine, but a lot left me wanting. For one thing, the BIPOC characters really just existed to forward their white counterparts, give them the strength they needed to keep going, etc etc. I wanted way more from Ben's character than just him being stuck in the same mindset over Isaac the entire time.
The world building could have been a lot stronger, as well. There's a lot that's just not explored that would have created a richer world.
Probably a two-star series for me, if I'm being honest. I wouldn't have finished had I not been able to read them all in the span of 24 hours.

Before I even picked up this final volume of The Woods saga, I was thinking “How refreshing that a graphic novel series is actually ending and not continuing into perpetuity (and into “why doesn’t end”-ness).” This was a satisfying conclusion that included scenes from Earth as well as the planet the students of Bay Point landed on. Not an overwhelmingly awesome ending, but satisfying and decent.

Spectacular. A fitting end to a truly great series. Highly recommended for survival horror fans, creepy sci-fi readers, and people who enjoy mostly purple color schemes.

Tore through this entire run in a day, and wish there was more. The story was fantastic. The art was good to great (sometimes I had a hard time telling characters apart). The colours were incredible.
