I did not think I would enjoy this series as much as I did. From start to finish just brilliiant. I enjoyed every single book. They were all easy reads with lots of action, suspense, heartbreak and humor. My favourite part of the series was the sher amount of character development for Apollo and Meg, they really just continued to evolve as people with each passing page. It is a brilliant continuation to the percy jackson universe and i enjoyed the change of characters a lot more than when I went from percy jackson and the olympians to the heroes of olympus. I think you do need to take a break between series and read a bit of a pallet cleanser to really apprictate the change in characters and storyline. Reading all 15 books one after the other is not recommended. I have nothing bad to say about this series, genuienly really spectacular read.

Even though I've rated and reviewed all individual books, I thought I'd also review the entire series as a whole.

Overall, I also feel like it was a bit unnecessary to begin with but still enjoyable and it was great to return to Percy's world even though we didn't get to see as much of him as I would have liked to (tho I understand poor Percy has already been through enough as it is).

It started out kinda meh with Apollo being a bit insufferable but his character development was honestly one of the best things in the series and I loved every single haiku (which wow impressive). I also really appreciated Meg as a character, she was so 3 dimensional, I loved to see her battle her demons both in and out.

A few things that annoyed me about the book: 1) Estelle has Percy's eyes, which he's meant to have gotten from Poseidon, his dad. Estelle's dad is Paul Blofis so this genetic plot-hole for some reason angered me quite a lot. 2) Book 1 is at CHB and NY. Book 5 also happened at CHB and NY, however, the demigods mentioned in Book 1 aka Paolo and co. are not mentioned at all in Book 5. What happened to them? Did they die? Do they only stay at camp in the winter? Seems more like a forgotten string on part of Rick.

The entire series was also very predictable. I remember in PJO and HOO the prophecies always had a plot twist and almost never meant what the demigods thought it meant, whereas in TOA the prophecies were always pretty easy to decipher and figure out, which was a bit disappointing ngl.

Overall, I enjoyed them and I appreciate what Rick did but PJO will forever be the best of the best.

A fun series following the self-absorbed Apollo as human Lester Papadopoulus, we reconnect once more to the riordanverse.

Final Rating: 3.8 stars

Verdict:
A solid series but ultimately, this didn't live up that much compared to the first two series that made me fall completely in love with the riordanverse. Or I don't know, maybe this is a me problem— maybe I'm a little too old for this series but all in all, I'm just sad Calypso and Leo are still together.
