The story line was confusing. It was hard to follow the plot. I didnt like the art style. I will not be recommending this book to anyone.

I felt there were a few gaps in plot points, and the ending was a little anti-climatic. I also didn't find much to latch on to character-wise.

A strong 3.5.
Watched the movie a couple weeks ago and when "Based on the comic" popped up during the credits I knew I'd have to go find the book. I love this kind of mystery-based slow burn horror, and Bunn and Del Rey work well together to give this one-shot trade a moody atmosphere.
The movie was better, for what it's worth, but they're two very different beasts. The adaptation is a bit more Sinister, where the book leans towards Carpenter's Apocalypse Trilogy. The book also has a better ending.

Well, it was clever and creepy and would have been good if there was an ACTUAL ENDING!
I do not like a cliffhanger end.
It makes me cranky
Grrrr.
Argh.
Update:I did the reread knowing that the movie adap was about to hit. I'm intrigued by how they're going to portray certain things. I'm assuming that amorphous red blob's won't be the way that they intend to go....
